WHAT IS NATUROPATHY?
The naturopath is the therapist at the centre of natural health therapy. Our objective is the maintenance of good health by natural means, re-establishing the capacity for self-healing, and allowing for the expansion of your Vital Force.
Naturopathy is first approached through education in health and disease prevention; given that health starts with a sound understanding of one’s physiological needs: nutrition, respiration, elimination, sleep etc.
With an holistic focus, the physical is seen in constant relationship to the emotional and mental. Higher disorders manifest themselves through the body; for example a situation of permanent stress may be displayed as abdominal pain, insomnia and weight gain.
Other naturopathy fundamentals are:
- Vitality (life moves with Vital Force)
- Humorism (study of the body’s organic liquids)
- Hygiene (Life’s hygiene)
- Causality (what is the root, the initial cause, of the resulting health problem)
Our work is carried out in three therapy phases:
- Preparation
- Cleansing (a DETOX)
- Revitalisation and Stabilisation
We utilise a number of regrouped methodologies at the heart of the 10 therapy families:
